DE BETHUNE DB28GS Swordfish "Black & Blue" | Black Zirconium & Grade 5 Titanium | Ref. DB28GSV2BB | Full Set
This timepiece is in pristine condition with no signs of wear. It comes as a complete set including box, travel case, extra rubber strap with clasp, and warranty papers dated August 2026. MSRP: approximately 131,920 USD.
Unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2025 as the evolution of the sport line that began in 2019 with the Grand Bleu, the DB28GS Swordfish is a 44mm diving watch in black zirconium and Grade 5 titanium measuring 12.8mm in thickness — a bi-chromatic study in deep black and De Bethune's signature celestial blue, with blued titanium details and 12 blue spherical hour markers on the unidirectional rotating bezel. The open-worked dial reveals the DB2080 movement architecture throughout, with a large delta-shaped titanium barrel bridge adorned with Microlight engravings, blued titanium borders, and a mirror-polished bridge over the balance wheel. Most remarkably, the Swordfish houses a fully mechanical lighting system operating on the dynamo principle: a push-button at 6 o'clock activates a small gear driven by the twin barrel, which through a miniature dynamo diffuses white light from the four corners of the dial — no electronics, no battery. A power reserve indicator sits between 9 and 10 o'clock; the crown is positioned at 12 o'clock with mobile cradle floating lugs for wrist comfort. Presented on a blue textile strap with hardened stainless steel folding clasp, with an additional rubber strap included. Retailing at approximately 131,920 USD, this example is offered meaningfully below current retail. The hand-wound DB2080 comprises 400 parts and 51 jewels with a triple shock-absorbing system, titanium balance wheel with white gold inserts, silicon escape wheel, and self-regulating twin barrels, beating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), delivering 5 days of power reserve, water-resistant to 100 meters.
