HOW DOES SOURCING WORK?

For collectors who value access over allocation, Hudson provides a discreet alternative to traditional retail channels. Acquiring a sought-after reference should be a strategic process — not a waiting game.

Private sourcing forms a significant part of our practice. We regularly secure modern, limited-production, and difficult-to-obtain references through an established international network of dealers and collectors. In many cases, availability can be identified within 24–48 hours.

Our approach is structured, confidential, and relationship-driven. Below is an outline of our three-step sourcing process.

STEP 1:

  • Fill out the SOURCE REQUEST form below. One of our timepiece consultants will contact you via phone within 24 hours for a full consultation to go over exactly what you are looking for. This conversation will be followed up with an email going over all the details discussed. Whether you are seeking a brand new or vintage timepiece, we will discuss budget, time limit terms, and current market conditions in order to find you the exact timepiece you want for the most competitive price.

STEP 2:

  • Once we’ve decided on your budget, we require a 10% non-refundable* deposit in order to get to work. Once payment clears, your consultant is officially “on call” and will actively begin the hunt for your timepiece. If your watch cannot be located within the pre-agreed upon time limit (usually 14 days, but can be more based on the rarity of the timepiece), your deposit will be returned in full. If your timepiece is located within that timeframe, you will be billed for the balance. *Please note, if the timepiece is located within the pre-agreed upon timeframe, and the buyer backs out, the 10% deposit is forfeited.

STEP 3:

  • Once payment of the balance clears, your timepiece will be shipped to you via fully insured FedEx Overnight Priority to your nearest FedEx Shipping Center. For insurance purposes, all timepieces are required to deliver to a FedEx Shipping Center. You will be required to pick it up there and ID will be required. Although this may seem inconvenient, this process is required by our insurance, greatly reduces any claims made, and is much more secure than sending to a residence.
